Simon Bolivar Spanish School
Letter from the Director
The Simon Bolivar Spanish School, since its foundation in 1994, has been one of the most important learning institutes in Ecuador and a leader for teaching Spanish as a second language. We are very proud of the positive reputation and quality achieved over the years, and we are aware of our role in this new century, which gives us new challenges and exhorts us to constantly update our knowledge to keep our leadership in the market. As Academic Director I am very pleased with our work.
My academic preparation includes: a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial, a degree and diploma in Teaching Spanish as a second language from the Universidad Católica; and, have taken additional courses at other local universities. Being a founder of the Simon Bolivar Spanish School, I really feel I am part of this great institution and that I am compelled to put all my efforts towards the school's well-being. I really can say that this place is my second home! I adore what I do, my job is my way of life, and it complements me since I love to learn about different cultures by learning, travelling and meeting wonderful people from around the world.
At the Simon Bolivar Spanish School we maintain communication with the best schools in Ecuador, as well as other institutions, universities and international organizations that are involved with Spanish learning. We are a founding member of the Ecuadorian Association of Spanish Teaching Centers (AECEE) and also members of the Latin-American Association of Spanish Teaching Centers.
Offering a personalized education, both in individual or group settings, we apply a holistic method, adapting the lessons to the needs of each student. Our objective is that each one of our students achieves an integral learning experience and we help them develop a competitive communication aptitude. We have determined 10 Spanish levels, from Beginner to Advanced. These levels keep up with the ones established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1. We have also prepared specialized courses for Medicine, Business, Literature, Tourism, among other fields. We constantly prepare innovations to maintain our academic excellence. The notable number of participants in our school serves as the perfect testimonial of the quality we offer.
I want to invite everyone, especially to our dear students and potential participants, to visit our webpage and social networks, enjoy all the information and pictures available and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments or suggestions.
I welcome all our new students and encourage you and our teachers to expand your horizons and count on us to help you reach your goals. I ask all our former students who have trusted in us, to not forget us and always remember this school, the Simon Bolivar Spanish School, is your home.
