(10,000 ft / 2850 m), the capital city of Ecuador, is located about 15 miles (25 km) south of the equator. It is a place where you will find a fantastic combination of beautiful mountains, valleys, cultural and historic attractions, charming streets and plazas, historical monuments, and parks; that along with the warmth of its people and hundreds of locations to travel around, make visiting Quito a breathtaking experience.

Quito was declared the first Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. Our capital is a mix of modern and historical sites; the Old Town being the most visited for its colonial past. To the north, we find a modern city with high-rise buildings, malls, financial and business centers. All the tourism services that you can possibly imagine; such as shops, cafeterias, restaurants, hotels, galleries, museums, photo labs, bars, craft markets, among many others are concentrated in, or near the Mariscal district, located close to Colonial Quito.

Simon Bolivar Spanish School is located just 3 blocks  from the center of the La Mariscal district:  Plaza del Quinde or Plaza Foch (as it is commonly known), making it calm enough to study but close to all you could need!  

Quito is well-known for being the best place to learn Spanish because of the pronunciation and use of Spanish diction. This fact, combined with the spring-like year-round temperatures, definitely make Quito the perfect place for booking a Spanish program.   

Having space for more than 40 students, the School offers individual as well as group Spanish lessons both in morning and afternoons sessions.  After classes, varied activities are offered, such as salsa dancing, cooking or cocktail lessons as well as lectures about Ecuadorian culture, history, idiomatic expressions, etc. in the evening. During the weekend, trips are organized to wonderful places near and around Quito.
